1. They should determine exactly what you are looking for in buying or selling a home. Knowing what your preferences are is extremely important.
2. They should be availble to answer any questions you might have. It can be maddening to try and hunt down your real estate agent. They should be present as much as possible.
3. They should fight for what’s best for you. It doesn’t matter whether you’re the buyer or the seller, they need to have your best interests at heart.
4. They should be extremely knowledgeable about real estate. You have enough on your mind without having to worry about the laws and ins and outs of real estate. The agent you select should be knowledgeable and know exactly how to guide you through the process with as little sweat as possible.
5. They should be dependable. Some agents start off okay, but then decide that they have more pressing things to do. They are getting a nice commission out of your real estate deal so they should make sure they are with you every step of the way.
